Vitamin B

B vitamins are important for healthy red and white blood cell production. They assist digestion and stabilise the nervous system. Most B vitamins are used up quickly in the body and need to be replenished often. Thiamine, or vitamin B1, is important in the maintenance of mental well being. Riboflavin (B2) and Folate (B9) are needed for normal growth and energy. Niacin, vitamin B3, is required for energy and blood sugar regulation. 

Pantothenic acid, vitamin B5, is found in every living cell and plays a vital role in metabolim. Pyridoxine, vitamin B6, is important to hormonal balance and is crucial for protein metabolism. Cobalamin, vitamin B12, is known for its treatment of anemia and fatigue. B12, found in eggs, milk and fish, is often absent from a vegetarian or vegan diet.
