Fish Oils
Fatty acids are the building blocks of fats, two of which are just as essential as vitamins and minerals are to the body. Omega-6 linoleic and omega-3 alpha linolenic acids are EFA's that cannot be manufactured by the body and need to be obtained from our diet. Many people do not obtain adequate amounts of essential fatty acids from their diet, especially omega-3.
Omega 3 oils can help reduce the risk of heart disease and circulatory problems such as varicose veins. They can also help to reduce inflammation and painful joints in general. Omega 3 fatty acids also make up about 8% of the human brain so it is logical to see how they are important for the proper functioning of brain cells.Fish oils such as cod liver oil and krill oil are excellent sources of omega-3.
