Kalamata PDO Iliada Extra Virgin Olive Oil 500ml
Greek Extra Virgin Olive Oil distinctly grassy-green in colour, with a robust herbaceous flavour which builds in the mouth to leave a pleasant peppery aftertaste. Produced from Koroneiki olives grown in the Kalamata region of southern Greece.
In 1997 extra virgin olive oil produced in this region was awarded EU PDO status. Such is a guarantee that the oil has been prepared, processed and produced in only this region. So the name Kalamata refers to the area where the oil is produced not the variety of olive used to produce it, which is a common misconception.
